I’ve used Linda Konya’s sunny, blossom blessed, birdy scene to inspire another avian scenario. I used the right hand edge of Linda’s artwork to give me ideas as to how to proceed. The trees there made me think of the body of a bird. The trick then was to find a set of bird images that fitted the form I was seeing.
I chose the diminutive Cuban Tody.
This visual trick was one used by the Surrealists. They called it Exquisite Corpse. It’s a great way of building a collaborative visual.
Media used: highlighter pens, Luminance coloured pencils, Uni-ball black pen, white gelly roll pen.
