Inspired by the tulips and the lady in the previous artwork.
The magnolia tree in Dutch is commonly called the tulip tree. This is the short period of time they are in flower. Yellow tulips and the returning geese are announcing Easter. The sun has returned in my piece, although it is partially obscured by the shadow of the moon as I was able to witness last weekend. The star shaped flowers of the Forsythia are glimpses of good things to come. I used ink and watercolors. The inks went running unexpectedly, life just isn’t perfect. There is light and shadow, straight lines and smudges. You can only try to follow the line.
