I was inspired by the black dog on the right and wanted to depict a dog gazing at your work, capturing a thoughtful yet slightly worried expression on its face. This reflects my trepidation about being able to imitate or respond to Craig's art. Above the dog’s head, I included a cherry tree branch as a reference to the cherry trees in your pieces. I aimed to create a strong connection between your work and mine; thus, the dog is looking at your sun, while both the sun and the chicken appear to gaze back at the dog. I have maintained the same colour scheme as in your artwork. This piece was created using coloured pencils, markers, and watercolour.
